Dell XPS 13-0790 Ultrabook(13.3" Touch, 512GB, 8GB, Core i7, Intel Graphics, Win 8.1)(Silver/Black)
Go beyond Full HD 1080p with the silver anodized aluminum Dell XPS 13 13.3" Multi-Touch Notebook Computer. Featuring a 13.3" QHD+ infinity display, the XPS 13 has a 3200 x 1800 native resolution. The display is also a touchscreen so you'll be able to utilize the multi-touch gestures incorporated into Windows 10. Since the screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, it supports 1080p Full HD content natively with no or minimal letterboxing. You can also output video to an external display via Mini DisplayPort. The visuals are handled by integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500.
The system is powered by a 5th-generation Broadwell 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7-5500U Dual-Core. It also has 8GB of 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, an integrated webcam, and a microphone. There are also built-in stereo speakers.
Windows 8.1 (64-bit) is the installed operating system. Windows 8.1 improves the user experience of Windows 8 with several additions and changes. The Start button returns, but has two limited core functions. A left click takes you to the redesigned Start screen featuring tiles that update in real-time. A right click brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel and more. You will also be able to boot directly to the traditional desktop screen instead of the Windows 8.1 Start screen. Windows 8.1 provides a unique user experience that differs from previous versions of Windows.
13.3" QHD+ Multi-Touch Infinity Display
The XPS 13 has a 13.3" QHD+ infinity display with a 3200 x 1800 native resolution. You'll be able to experience sharp text, detailed picture quality and vibrant color. The display is also a touchscreen so you'll be able to utilize the multi-touch gestures incorporated into Windows 10. Since the screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, you'll still be able to play 1080p Full HD content natively with no or minimal letterboxing. The thin bezel frees up the screen space in this innovative design. The three-sided, virtually borderless infinity display measures a miniscule 0.2" (5.2 mm) border, which is less than 2% of the total display.
Dual-Core 5th-Gen Broadwell Intel Core Performance
The XPS 13 houses a 5th generation Broadwell Intel Core i7-5500U processor. Its dual cores can reach a stock speed of 2.4 GHz. The processor can also be overclocked up to 3.0 GHz, thanks to Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. Intel has designed the Broadwell processor to use even less energy than the previous Haswell processor to help you finish the workday without recharging the battery. With a dedicated 4MB L3 cache, 8GB of 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM, and Intel Hyper-Threading technology, you'll be able to push the dual cores up to four virtual cores for quick and efficient multitasking.
Intel 802.11ac Wi-Fi
Featuring Intel 802.11ac Wi-Fi, the XPS 13 delivers high performance, broader coverage, and longer battery life. The XPS 13 also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 technology so you'll be able to connect wirelessly to Bluetooth-compatible peripherals and accessories.
Solid State Drive
Get quicker boot times, faster application launches, and overall enhanced performance with the 512GB solid state drive in the XPS 13. And because solid state drive technology does not use moving parts, you get a more durable storage solution less prone to physical damage or mechanical failure.
USB 3.0 supports data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gb/s, which is up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0. USB 3.0 is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 so you can still use your older USB-compatible devices.
